ARIZONA
Casa Grande Ruins National Park = 6 RV Volunteer Sites with 1 RV Site
with 30 amp, 5 RV Sites with 50 amp. All RV Sites have water, sewer, propane
provided, concrete patio, picnic table, shade tree, fire ring, restroom with
shower, handicap accessible laundry facility. Volunteers work 32 hours per

Chiricahua National Monument =3 RV Volunteer Sites with 30 amp, water, sewer, phone/internet
service is available, laundry facilities available 1 mile. RV Length is limited
to 29 feet.
Coronado National Memorial = 1 RV Volunteer Site with 30/50 amp, water,
sewer, telephone and cable available at personal expense. Volunteers work 24
hours per week per person with a 3 month commitment.
Fort Bowie National Historic Site = 1 RV Volunteer Rustic Site with 30 amp, water, sewer, located in
the parking lot of the Headquarters Building. The road to the RV Site is very
winding and the RV length is limited to 29 feet.
Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site = 1 RV Volunteer Site with 30/50 amp, water, sewer, picnic table.
Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument = 10 RV Volunteer Sites with 30 amp, water, sewer, laundry facility,
patio, picnic table, community game/reading room, shared kitchen, shared
freezer, telephone (personal expense).
Petrified Forest National Park = 6 RV Volunteer Sites with 30/50 amp, water, sewer, laundry facility, picnic table,
community room with telephone and Satellite TV. Volunteers work 32 hours per week with a minimum 2 month commitment.
Pipe Spring National Monument = 3 RV Volunteer Sites with 50 amp, water, sewer, laundry facilities, picnic table, fire ring, library, community room
with a shared microwave and refrigerator. Cell phone access available with an
antenna and booster, internet access available at personal expense. A gas
station and convenience store is within 1/2 mile. A grocery, pharmacy and
hospital are within 30 miles.
Winter temperature average 0 to 20’s with snow occurring 1-3 times during the
winter when volunteers are needed. Volunteers work positions such as;
interpreters, ranch, garden, and maintenance for 32 hours per week with a 3-6
month commitment.
Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument = 2 RV Volunteer Sites with

CALIFORNIA
Death Valley National Park = 10 RV Volunteer Sites with 30/50 amp,
water. 8 RV Volunteer Sites have sewer. Laundry facility is available at of the
3 RV Volunteer site locations, some sites have picnic table, and shared
refrigerator is available at one location. Some sites have telephone capability
at volunteer’s expense.
Lassen Volcanic National Park = 5 RV Volunteer Sites with propane provided, fire ring, picnic
table, very limited cell phone access. Manzanita Lake Campground = 2 RV Volunteer Sites with 30/50 amp, water, sewer, telephone
provided for personal use with a calling card, camp store. Campground elevation
is 5900’, with 179 campsites which are very busy during the peak season. Butte
Lake Campground = 1
RV Volunteer Site with water, sewer. Campground is very remote at 6100’
elevation with 100 campsites, busy only on holiday weekends. Summit
Lake Campground = 1

Lava Beds National Monument = 3 RV Volunteer Sites with 30/50 amp,

Mojave National Preserve = 5 RV Volunteer Sites with 3 RV Sites at
Kelso/Baker with 30/50 amp, water, sewer. 2 RV Volunteer Sites at Hole in the
Wall with water, sewer, shower facilities. Laundry facilities, picnic table,
fire ring, shared freezer, government vehicle, up to $100 reimbursement monthly
for propane/fuel. Access to NPS computer/internet after completing security
course. Reimbursement of $5 per work day, up to $100 monthly for long term
volunteers for grocery expenses. Volunteer singles or couples for 3 or more
months for positions as interpreters, maintenance, resource management,
administration, and occasionally law enforcement.
Manzanar National Historic Site = 1 RV Volunteer Site. Manzanar NHS will pay for an RV Site at a local campground. A Volunteer house may be available in
lieu of an RV Site. Single Volunteer works 32 hours per week and Couples work
24 hours each per week with a minimum commitment of 2 weeks. (Contributor =

Redwood National and State Parks = 2 RV Volunteer Sites with 30/50 amp,

Yosemite National Park = 42 RV Volunteer Sites = 17 RV Volunteer Camp
Host Sites, 25 RV Volunteer Sites for interpreters and desk officers. Most RV
Sites have pads without hookups. 8 RV Volunteer Sites with 30/50 amp, water,
sewer for volunteers with seniority. Most campgrounds have potable water, some

MINNESOTA

water, sewer. Minimum commitment 3 months.
Saint
Croix National Scenic Riverway = 3 RV Volunteer Sites with 30/50 amp, water, sewer connections at 2
or 3 locations. The RV Volunteer sites are host sites at busy river landings.

40 hours per week with a minimum 4 week commitment.

committment.
