OVERALL EXPERIENCE
No Duty Assignments during the first week of arrival to allow Volunteers time to get acclimated to the area.
Volunteers provided a reciprocal pass, which allows each volunteer and one guest free entrance to 42 Charleston Historic Sites, including Harbor Cruises, Historic Plantations, Museums and Cypress Gardens.
National Park Service Volunteer Hats and Polo Shirts provided
Volunteers can wear Khaki, Beige, Olive Drab shorts/pants/trousers
Volunteers are recognized with a Dinner Cruise during October.
There is a 20 minute video about Charles Pinckney shown by request.  The number of daily visitors is low which allows time to study area history.  Rangers are appreciative of contributions by Volunteers and provide support and other amenities which ensure Volunteers have a rewarding and enjoyable experience. Charleston  is an exceptionally Friendly and Clean City to visit.  We enjoyed working with the wonderful NPS Staff at the Historic sites.  We had a 2 month commitment, and stayed 3 months.
